Centre Introduction

Our English speaking international nursery and preschool believes: that a young child’s life should be full of fun, happiness, inspiring, playful learning and enjoyable interactions with peers and caring adults.

To fulfill our beliefs, , we firstly developed our educational programs to create many opportunities for each child to progress by their individual interests and levels of development. Secondly, our professional, dedicated teachers always offer a wide variety of first-hand experiences and motivating activities.

And most importantly, our Centre relies on play-based education and a ‘Positive Discipline’ method to encourage good behaviour. As a fully licensed English speaking international nursery and preschool, our Centre consequently meets all the legally required educational expectations, as well as safety, fire and health department regulations.

Centre Environment

Our goal is to provide a complete and integrated environment of care, that meets each child’s individual needs in all areas of development. Therefore to meet this goal, we ensure that our building and grounds are safe and hygienic, asthis is one of the most essential aspects to any environment for children.

All our facilities are kept tidy, organised, extremely well supplied, and aesthetically pleasing. Our classrooms are visually appealing, stimulating, and aim to provide the children with a sense of ownership and belonging.

We offer the children many activities and encourage them to do tasks that make them more independent and allow them to gain confidence. Whilst we are teaching them new skills, we also develop qualities such as patience, concentration, self-help, teamwork, self-discipline and self-trust.

We use a project method and play-based learning teaching style. This approach builds on natural curiosity, enabling children to interact, question, connect, problem-solve and communicate openly. We also show them how to learn from their failures and we help with their efforts and endeavours.

Our Centre maintains excellent teacher:child ratios (ranging from Young Nursery 1:3, up to Kindergarten 1:6). Every year all staff are re-trained in First Aid and Fire Drill.

Our international English speaking nursery and preschool programs, especially aim to increase each child’s awareness of the wonder of nature and focus particularly on healthy social development.

Centre Location / Facilities

All our 7 classrooms are spacious, appealing, well-equipped, have a lot of natural light and are fitted with air conditioners. Our building is located at Zsolna utca, in the beautiful hills of Buda’s 12th district. Furthermore our Centre has a Library, a Gymnasium, an Art Room, and a special Parents’ Place as well.

Our Parents’ area has a comfortable sit-down area, including some English-language books to borrow, and a variety of community information, for parents use while waiting or to use during the settling-in process.

Outside of the building we have a very large 3000m² garden, a part of which becomes a very popular sledding paradise in winter.

In order to provide all age groups with the right environment, we divided our huge garden into two separate, age-appropriate playground areas. Both playgrounds, the one for the little ones and the one for the big ‘explorers’ meets all EU safety regulations and are exceptionally well-equipped.

We also have some specific areas: for bike-riding, for chalk-drawing and for gardening. Moreover, we are very proud to our ‘football pitch’ with artificial, special grass designed especially for young children. Consequently, all of these ‘features’ lead the children to really enjoy their outdoor explorations every day.

As a result of being an environment-conscious preschool, there is a ‘compost’ area in our garden, where the children take the leftovers from each day’s fresh fruit snack. Meanwhile, it is a spontaneous opportunity to learn about recycling and the cycle of life during this daily activity..

Parental Involvement

Certainly, we place a high priority on communicating regularly with the parents about their child’s development and progress.

We encourage parents to take full advantage to play an active part in cooperation with the teachers in their child’s education. Therefore it is also our aim, to make parents feel welcome at our Centre, to be ready to discuss and share their thoughts any time, thus supporting us to improve our Centre.

Our enthusiastic ‘Parent Committee’ represents the parents’ voice, which any parent is welcome to join. The PC members are actively involved in charity activities, social family events and celebrating special occasions. Moreover, the committee helps to carry out and analyze our annual Parent Satisfaction Survey.
